I was born in the beautiful Great Lake State of Michigan which offers lots of outdoor activities in all of the four seasons.  I have been married to my wonderful Husband, Dave for 42 years.  I am the oldest of a large Family of 13 Children, so there was never a time to be bored or lonely.  I have held several jobs over the last 40 years, many in the Customer Service and marketing field.  Nine years ago one of my Brothers went in to State Farm Agency Training in Michigan.  I was living in Arizona at the time and had just been laid off from my job.  He called and said he needed me to come and work with him so the timing was perfect.  I read the training manuals in the car on the drive back to Michigan, took the Insurance Classes, and got my Licenses.  A month later we walked in the door of his new office together and were quite pleased with ourselves that at least we could find all the light switches and the restroom.  We both worked hard and he qualified for Travel the first year he was eligible.

Three years later my Husband retired and we moved to Mesquite.  I walked in to Lisa’s office to change my address as she was flying out the door to go to a Life Appointment.  She heard me mentioning “Z” coverage and stopped to ask me how I knew about that.  Three days later I was working along with her and her daughter, Amber.  It has been exciting watching and being a part of this growing City and her booming Business which now has a Staff of 6. The favorite part of my job is educating and talking to people about the importance of Life Insurance.  It is something that I really never gave much thought to before I worked for State Farm so I make sure that is not the case when I talk to people each day. ~

I am a native to Mesquite having been born and raised here. It was interesting watching the town grow from the proverbial one horse town to the thriving community it is today.  I was one of the founding committee members who worked to incorporate Mesquite as a City in the early 80’s and have been very active in the community also serving as President of the Chamber of Commerce in the 90’s.

I was a business owner in Mesquite for 30 years having numerous successful businesses during that time. After selling my construction company in 2000, I was hired as office manager to help State Farm open their first office in Mesquite. I worked in the office for about a year when I had a wonderful opportunity to manage a theatre in Idaho and I moved out of the area.  I came back to Mesquite in 2005 and have worked at various businesses since that time. I came to work for Lisa in November of 2016 and the rest is history.   ~
